Comic book-wise, I dunno that I’ve done anything quite so out-and-out horrific as the Rot story. I did follow it with another Wolverine story (Covenant), which has been collected. Believe me, though, there’s more sick stuff on the horizon.

Annabelle may be my favorite character, too! I had a feeling readers would relate to her, and I’m glad I was right! In a book about super powerhouses, we needed someone like Annabelle to ground the book a bit.

Venom’s a fun character to write. I enjoy Flash Thompson’s stuggle to be the hero he’s always idolized. And I feel like Venom lends itself to a kind of weirdness and craziness that really appeals to me. As for villains… I dunno about classics, but you’re gonna see a LOT of bad guys in the next arc.

It is so lovely to see a lesbian romance in progress, with more subtlety, expression and feeling than most of the heterosexual romances we see in comics. Thank you! In a book like FEARLESS DEFENDERS, something like romance can get lost in all the action, so I’ve tried to hint at it where I can. That said, there are troubles… and more romances… ahead for the characters.
